Vishion + Borne Content
“Buddy the elf, what’s your favorite color?” — Will Ferrell, Elf
Remember the dress debacle of 2015? Half of the world saw black and navy and the other half saw gold and white? The underlying reason people were getting upset is that vision and color, as it turns out, are far from objective. In fact, color perception is an ancient and philosophical puzzle yet to be solved.
While the Vishion app can’t tell you why we see a hideous dress differently, it can tell you the exact hex value of the colors and show you how to use them in your space. We knew Vishion’s agency partner would need to not only understand the complexity of color but also be just as excited as the founders about making the world more colorful. Borne Content was the perfect shade of both. In 10 short weeks, the Borne Content team refreshed Vishion’s branding and created an incredible marketing video to showcase how interior designers can use Vishion when planning a space.
“I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way.”- Georgia O’Keefe (As told by Borne Content COO Angie Fischer)
Borne Content loves to work with The Brandery for a couple of reasons. First, The Brandery team is a group of really good people and we love their mission of supporting the entrepreneurial community. Second because we like to give back. It’s one of the highlights of our day-to-day jobs to be able to lend our help and expertise to new ventures. Third, we love the energy and passion The Brandery startups bring and how they challenge and push us to do great work. Any good creative shop needs to be regularly challenged and pushed!
We chose to work with Vishion this year primarily because of the enthusiasm and positive energy Sam showed from the very beginning. We were inspired by her story and vision for how to harness the power of color and help the world of interior design. From the start it was a great collaboration because Sam and her team liked how we could tell Vishion’s story and make it come to life in killer video content. Working with Vishion was a no-brainer, their needs lined-up with our strengths perfectly. Vishion had a strong brand identity to build from and we helped optimize this to make it even more powerful. Overall we felt the partnership was a great success and we had a lot of fun in the process. Definitely a winning combination!
“Color is the least expensive thing to put in a house.”- Ruthie Sommers (As told by Vishion CEO Sam Smith)
One of the main reasons we wanted to go through The Brandery was to get access to some of the best agencies in the country. We were incredibly lucky to work with Borne Content, who not only helped us with our messaging and logo, but also created a killer marketing video to showcase Vishion to investors, customers and partners. I told them about a dream I had on how to show our color search tool and they jumped into action to make it happen. The entire Borne Content team did an incredible job of getting to know us and our goals and was able to pull together a production that typically takes months in just a matter of weeks. I am reminded of the amazing job they did every time I receive a compliment on their work. They’ve elevated our brand and made a typically stressful experience into one I love to brag about at any chance possible. If you’re lucky enough to work with Borne Content, you’ll know exactly what I mean.
